Testing

Comprehensive Testing

Testing to a variety of industry standards is an integral part of our manufacturing process. Every component used by AAC is carefully inspected before it enters our inventory. Full traceability records are maintained.

Every AAC product is further submitted to sub-assembly testing throughout the manufacturing process to assure high product reliability and reduced possibility of performance defects.

In-House Environmental Testing

In-house testing at AAC prior to further qualification testing saves time and costs, and the need to go back and forth between the design and test facility on revisions. For example, AAC has the in-house capabilities to test up to 2000 amps—more than enough to satisfy the most rigorous of requirements. Our 300 amp, 1 microsecond transit burst is used to evaluate parts that will be used in high-noise environments, while our RFI and EMI testing will meet – and surpass — a variety of industry standard requirements.

HALT/ESS Testing

We also provide HALT (Highly Accelerated Lift Testing) and ESS (Environmental Stress Screening) testing over temperature and vibration conditions to ensure high survivability in demanding environments.

DO-160 / MIL-STD / EN / UL / CSA Testing

AAC Assembly Every sensor we produce is tested to various MIL-Standards for defense applications, EN standards for rail transit applications, DO-160 standards for commercial air applications or UL, CSA and EU standards for industrial applications. In order to facilitate fast turnaround when testing to industry standards, especially for custom designs or modified standards, AAC has the in-house capability to test to a wide variety of environmental and performance standards. While self-certification is often acceptable to clients, our in-house testing capability ensures that when products are submitted to independent third-party accredited laboratories for independent certification, AAC is already confident that they will confirm to all requirements.
